In life, a person can take one of two attitudes: to build or to plant. The builders might take years over their tasks, but one day, they finish what they're doing. Then they find that they're hemmed in by their own walls. Life loses its meaning when the building stops. Then there are those who plant. They endure storms and all the vicissitudes of the seasons, and they rarely rest. But unlike a building, a garden never stops growing. And while it requires the gardener's constant attention, it also allows life for the gardener to be a great adventure. Gardeners always recognize each other, because they know that in the history of each plant lies the growth of the whole World.
Needless to say, I had been alone on other occasions during the year. Needless to say, my girlfriend was only two hours away by plane. Needless to say, after a busy day, what could be better than a stroll through the narrow streets and lanes of the old city, without having to talk to anyone, simply enjoying the beauty around me. And yet the feeling that surfaced was one of oppressive, distressing loneliness – not having someone with whom I could share the city, the walk, the things I’d like to say. ..there is nothing worse than the feeling that no one cares whether we exist or not, that no one is interested in what we have to say about life, and that the world can continue turning without our awkward presence.
His heart was afraid. As he looked up at the clouds or down at the precipice, he realised that this woman was the most important thing in his life; that she was the explanation, the sole reason for the existence of those rocks, that sky, that winter. If she were not there with him, it wouldn’t matter if all the angels of heaven came flying down to comfort him – Paradise would make no sense. ‘ I want to tell you that I love you,’ Brida said softly. ‘ Because you’ve shown me the joy of love.’ She felt full, complete, as if the whole landscape were seeping into her soul... and she was sure that, if she took a risk, she would experience love as never before.
What’s the world’s greatest lie?” the boy asked. “It’s this: that at a certain point in our lives, we lose control of what’s happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate. That’s the world’s greatest lie.
The future belongs to God, and it is only he who reveals it, under extraordinary circumstances. How do I guess at the future? Based on the omens of the present. The secret is here in the present. If you pay attention to the present, you can improve upon it. And, if you improve on the present, what comes later will also be better. Forget about the future, and live ach day according to the teachings, confident that God loves his children. Each day, in itself, brings with it an eternity.
Although I have been through all that I have, I do not regret the many hardships I met, because it was they who brought me to the place I wished to reach.
Of all the weapons of destruction that man could invent, the most terrible-and the most powerful-was the word. Daggers and spears left traces of blood; arrows could be seen at a distance. Poisons were detected in the end and avoided. But the word managed to destroy without leaving clues.
Hide your craziness behind a beautiful smile. That's all you need.
If you are brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new Hello.
If you must say yes, say it with an open heart. If you must say no, say it without fear.
If you never take a risk, you will never know what changes you need to make.
Every search begins with beginner’s luck. And every search ends with the victor’s being severely tested.
Don’t allow your wounds to transform you into someone you are not.
Sorrows do not last forever when we are journeying towards the thing we have always wanted.
Maybe the journey isn’t so much about becoming anything. Maybe it’s about un-becoming everything that isn’t really you, so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place.
Remember, the first road to God is prayer, the second is joy.
Everyone when they are young knows what their destiny is. At that point in their lives, everything is clear and everything is possible.
With the rain, falls the wisdom of heaven.
Stop being yourself and become who u always wanted to be.
Things pass, and the best we can do is to let them really go away. Getting rid of certain memories also means making some room for other memories to take their place.
Love was a feeling completely bound up with color, like thousands of rainbows superimposed one on top of the other.
No one lights a lamp in order to hide it behind the door: the purpose of light is to create more light, to open people's eyes, to reveal the marvels around.
With love, there are no rules. The heart decides and what it decides is all that really matters.
Life is short. Kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly.
I could have. What does this phrase mean? At any given moment in our lives, there are certain things that could have heppened but, didn't. The magic moments go unrecognized, and then suddenly, the hand of destiny changes everything.
The world has a soul and whoever understands that soul can also understand the language of many things.
Love can take us to heaven or hell, but it always takes us somewhere. Therefore, be prepared to travel...
He had to choose between something he had become accustomed to and something he wanted to have.
One day you will wake up & there won’t be any more time to do the things you’ve always wanted. Do it now.
The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.
